Bob Avila Wins Magnificent 7 Second Year In A Row!

Professional’s Choice congratulates their endorser Bob Avila on his win of the Magnificent 7 title at the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento California on June 8th. This is the second year in a row for Bob.
Last year Bob won the Magnificent 7 aboard Light N Fine and took second on Brother White, the first time in history for one rider to take first and second place in this event. This year it was Brother White’s turn to win. Bob and Brother White not only won the title, but took it with the greatest lead out of the top ten riders. In a usually very tight competition, their combined score of 592.5 was 11 points higher than second place. Bob’s other mount for the event, Chics Magic Potion, also placed in the top seven at number six.
The Magnificent 7 puts stock horse and rider teams to the test in four events that require exceptional dexterity and versatility. This year there were no elimination rounds and all four go-round events were held in the same day. The herd work and steer stopping go-rounds were held in the morning, while the final two events, reined work, and cow work down the fence were held in the evening making it an action packed day for the excited crowds.
Bob and Brother White came away from the morning events in the lead and went into the evening to a sold out house. The team aced the rest, tying for first in the reining go-round and winning the fence work go-round, making it all look easy to the energized crowd.
But, Bob was not only there to compete in the Magnificent 7. During intermission on Friday and twice daily on Saturday and Sunday, Bob and world champion trainer Al Dunning gave their sought after horse clinics. What a bonus it was for eager attendees to have two of the greatest horse trainers of all time willing to give them their attention and the fruits of their combined wisdom and knowledge.
